Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros, and the traditional ballads of ranchero and romance. Ana is passionate about operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of drama performances. The mother of her child taught her to sing, but she began singing with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera tenor. The singer continued her education in the field of music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a college student as well as a professional. When she moved to The United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in southern California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm for performing, painting, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana has been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing music from Latin American traditional songs, to instill an interest, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
